Zahrah is our BrainCore Certified Neurofeedback Practitioner and is also a Shitasu therapeutic massage practioner. Zahrah has been passionate about holistic health and natural living for much of her adult life. A series of serious health issues in her early 20’s led her away from a career in the performing arts to learn more about caring for and healing her body. She attended MCSS/Centerpoint school for Traditional Chinese Medicine and Bodywork Therapies from 1999 -2001 and became certified in a variety of healing modalities, including Shiatsu, Magnet Therapy, bodywork for pregnant and postpartum women, and more. Zahrah continued to immerse herself in the study of holistic healing strategies and techniques. Medicinal plants, dietary therapies, Ayurveda, yoga, energy healing, natural detoxification therapies, and many indigenous healing traditions, are just some of what she has been passionate about incorporating into her life and work. Zahrah, along with her two children, moved to Costa Rica in 2005 and resided there until 2018. While living in Costa Rica, she had the opportunity to apprentice with master herbalists and many indigenous healers from Central and South America. Zahrah is now back residing in the Minnesota where she was born and raised. She is delighted to offer Neurofeedback and Shiatsu and to be a part of the healing team at O’Keefe Matz clinic.
